Spill the Beans Already!

5 Days until I leave for spring break!
3 Days until I hear back from Duke!
27 Days until I turn 18!!! (read below)
40 Days until my first final exam!

Yesterday, in the mail, I received my voter registration card. This is super exciting for me because, this year, I will be able to vote. Crazy, right?!?! Everything seems to be happening so quickly and the days are flying by. I can't even believe that there is less than 3 months left till graduation!

I won my third scholarship! It was worth $500, but I have a chance at $1,500 after writing an essay. I will be going to dinner with the committee on April 12th. I now have earned $1,600 for college (that makes $43,000 more I have to pay....). So exciting.

This week, in less than a day or two, I read the entire Hunger Games. And I saw the movie. While I really enjoyed the plot of the book, I was sad to see it turned into more of a romance... I do recommend for everyone to read it. The book was definitely better than the movie. The movie rushed character development where as the book made the characters have depth, made them complex, and more life-like. I am starting on the second book soo we will see. 

In my game last night, we kicked butt and beat Northern Vance 3 to 1 points. Check out Coach Hunters blog later in the week for a play by play. While at the game, I got to talking with one of my teammates, and she expressed her impending sadness about not having soccer next year at this time because of college. It really hit me that this is my last year and to fully enjoy it. We have an awesome team, which I have probably overly stressed. All of the players I feel close to and we care for each other, like sisters. It is a special bond with amazing talent that I have never seen in all four years of playing in high school. Although I am excited for Senior Night, I will really miss these girls.

Thursday at approximately 6 pm, I will receive my decision from Duke. At this time, I will be in the middle of a soccer game so I won't truly know until I get home. It has really been bugging me to know all week now that it has been "decided". I honestly don't believe I will get in, but more on that tomorrow. (Can you believe I have already written tomorrow post???)
